Mo Farah, from Mogadishu in Somalia won the 10,000m final.  He ran it in 27:30.42 minutes.  This was the first ever British gold medal in the event.  After this marvelous run, Farah was cheered on by the fans of the event.  Farah also had a few things to say after his run. “I just can’t believe it,” he said. “I’ve never experienced something like this.  “It doesn’t come around often and to have it right on your doorstep and the amount of people supporting you and shouting your name; it’s never going to be better than this.”  That night Farah won the 13th medal for Great Britain, and that night was said to be the best night that the British athletics ever did in the history of the Olympics.  Mo Farah, the 29 year-old gold medalist also won the gold in the 5,000m which he ran in 13:41.66 minutes.  This victory made Farah the 6th man in the Olympic history to complete these sacred distances.  This also makes him the first Briton to win two gold medals on the track since Kelly Holmes in 2004.  Mo Farah dedicates his two gold medals to his unborn twin daughters.
